Dear all

I'm new user for the Acer Liquid and new for the Andriod system so you may found my questions stupid
Well could any one help me to know how to do the following:
1- how can I browse my mobile and the microSD card while installed on my Acer Liquid. I mean from the phone menu!?
2- Do any one know hot to change the phone profiles between loud and slient or outdoor to pager like other mobiles?
3- Has any one an idea how to install apps from the net as I do not have the market in my phone.
4- How can I add more (mid or MP3) ringtones to my phone and to assign it to special contacts??
5- How can I do an alignment to my Acer screen?

By the way, I'm in the middle East particulaly in Saudi Arabia and the handset comes with Arabic support so that may do not have the Market in the phone menu.

You will need to install a file manager from the Android market

Press and hold the power button for 3-4 secs. This will bring up a menu which will allow you to change modes. The are also some widgets/apps on the market which will allow you to do this.

3- Has any one an idea how to install apps from the net as I do not have the market in my phone.

Search online for .apk files. These should allow you to install the apps. Take a look at http://www.android.com/market
You can also try using DoubleTwist (http://www.doubletwist.com)
Also take a look at http://www.appbrain.com/ . This lists some of the best apps on the Android market
In the phone Settings > Applications - you might need to allow installation of non market apps

I have not tried any of the method. But IMHO, they should work

4- How can I add more (mid or MP3) ringtones to my phone and to assign it to special contacts??

Do you have the file manager application as apk? if so then please send it to me as attachment to my email address which is: dr.alkazmi@gmail.com
regarding the allignment, I found that some times the press of the two letters (A) and (S) is confusing!! I press the S botton but the A came up instead so I thought this may need some allignment!!!

Another thing, I visited the site of Andriod Market and have found the File manager but don't know how to download it!! Could you help me doing so

Last thing, how can I change the Adan sound in the prayer application?? Also, I have downloaded all the sound of Qura'ans Sura so how can I make it playable?
